Description:

🚀 ConvertLeaderAndText2Mleader is an AutoCAD and Civil 3D AutoLISP utility that converts a selected legacy LEADER and MTEXT pair into a clean MLEADER object. The tool helps modernize old drawing annotations, reduce manual leader rebuilding, and keep CAD documentation consistent when updating legacy DWG files. It can optionally use an existing MULTILEADER as the style source, preserve MTEXT rotation, transfer text width and layer behavior, and erase the original LEADER and MTEXT after creating the new MLEADER.

Functionalities:

🧰 Select an existing MULTILEADER to reuse its style, scale, width, and visual behavior, or skip the step to use the current MLEADER style.
🔁 Convert one old LEADER and one MTEXT object into a new MLEADER object with a clean AutoCAD annotation workflow.
📝 Convert MTEXT content using Title case, Lower case, Upper case, Sentence case, Toggle case, or Keep case options.
🧹 Keep MTEXT formatting or remove MTEXT formatting codes with a Lee Mac unformat routine.
📐 Rebuild leader geometry from the original leader points, supporting straight leaders, dog-legged leaders, and simplified multi-vertex leaders.
🎯 Preserve MTEXT rotation and reuse text width when appropriate for cleaner MLEADER placement.
📌 Move the new MLEADER to the original MTEXT layer when no reference MLEADER is selected.
🔒 Use undo marks, error handling, CMDECHO restoration, OSMODE restoration, and safe selection prompts.
🧠 Support annotative object checks through ActiveX and dictionary inspection helpers.
⚙️ Use helper routines for selection filtering, rounded point coordinates, string substitution, text unformatting, and annotative detection.

Result:

✅ The final result is a modern MLEADER replacing the selected legacy LEADER and MTEXT pair. The old leader and text are erased, the new multileader receives the selected text content and style behavior, and the annotation becomes easier to maintain in AutoCAD or Civil 3D production drawings.
